Russia Rejects Azerbaijani Claim that Armenia Fired Iskander Missiles in Artsakh War
Russia has rejected a recent Azerbaijani claim that Armenian military forces fired two Iskander ballistic missiles on in the Artsakh town of Shushi during last year’s war.
On March 31, Azerbaijan’s Demining Agency reported it had found traces of two Iskander missiles that the Armenian military fired on in the Artsakh town of Shushi during last year’s war.
Russian Presidential Spokesman Dmitry Peskov today reiterated an earlier Russian Ministry of Defense claim that no Iskander missiles were used during the war.
"As far as I understand, it is new information. I do not know whether our military reported about it or not. Do they have any specific information about all that?" Peskov said in response to a question whether Russian President Vladimir Putin had been informed about the Azerbaijani claim of finding Iskander missile fragments in Karabakh.
