Armenian President Armen Sarkissian has written to International Committee of the Red Cross (IRC) President Peter Maurer regarding the plight of Armenian POWs and civilians detained in Azerbaijan.

Sarkissian calls on the IRC to assist in the return of all Armenian detainees.

"Addressing the humanitarian situation in Artsakh today is a priority. Urgent attention is required from the international community,” writes Sarkissian, adding that Baku is concealing the true number of Armenian POWs.

He writes that Armenia has returned all Azerbaijani POWs.
