
Armenian President, FIDE President Discuss Chess Prospects
Armenian President Armen Sarkissian and International Chess Federation (FIDE) President Arkady Dvorkovich met today in Yerevan and discussed prospects of developing chess in Armenia.
During the meeting, according to a statement released by Sarkissian’s office, the two also discussed the possibility of cooperating with Moscow’s Skolkovo International Scientific-Educational Center within the framework of the Armenian president’s ATOM (Advanced Tomorrow) initiative.
The initiative aims to attract leading IT and technological companies to Armenia to develop artificial intelligence, mathematical modeling, machine teaching and the implementation of educational programs.
