Acting Armenian Deputy Prime Minister Tigran Avinyan, a Civil Contract party board member, will not be included in the party’s list party in the upcoming snap parliamentary elections.

Lilit Makunts, who heads the My Step (Im Kayl) parliamentary faction, told reporters that Avinyan made a personal decision not to run.

Responding to a question about the inclusion of two businessmen in the party’s list, Makunts said that they would have to turn over the daily management of their businesses to others if elected.

The Civil Contract party, led by Nikol Pashinyan, is part of the ruling My Step alliance in the parliament.
