U.S. State Department Official to Visit South Caucasus

U.S. Acting Deputy Assistant Secretary of State for European and Eurasian Affairs Philip Reeker will visit Tbilisi (Georgia), Baku (Azerbaijan) and Yerevan (Armenia) on June 6-13 to express US support for bilateral regional priorities, democratic and economic development in the region.

The U.S. Embassy in Armenia, in a statement released today, says that Reeker is scheduled to meet with Georgian government, opposition and civil society leaders to discuss the full implementation of the April 19 agreement between the Georgian parties and Russia's ongoing aggression and occupation of Georgia.

In Armenia, Acting Deputy Secretary of State in Azerbaijan Reeker will meet with government, civil society and business leaders to discuss bilateral priorities և Issues related to the Nagorno-Karabakh conflict.
