Residents of twelve Armavir province communities blocked the Armavir Yerevan roadway today to protest the lack of irrigation water for the past six days.

Water irrigation utility Jrar CJSC says an accident along a Yerevan stretch of the canal necessitated a halt in the water supply and that the problem will be repaired today.

Residents say they were never informed about the matter.
