Kremlin Spokesperson Says Russia Welcomes EU Karabakh Mediation Within "Exisitng Agreements"
Russian Presidential Spokesperson Dmitry Peskov today said that Moscow is ready to welcome EU mediation efforts in negotiations on Nagorno-Karabakh, if they contribute to the implementation of the existing agreements.
"If mediation efforts bring stability, predictability and help in the implementation of existing agreements, then they can only be welcomed. In general, work in this direction is going well," Peskov said according to TASS.
By “existing agreements”, Peskov refers to the November 9, 2020 trilateral Karabakh ceasefire agreement brokered by Russia and the January 11, 2021 agreement to unblock all economic and transport links in the region.
