Sarkissian Congratulates Egyptian President on Revolution Day

Armenian President Armen Sarkissian today congratulated Egyptian President Abdel Fattah el-Sisi on Egypt’s Revolution Day.

Today marks the anniversary of the 1952 Egyptional revolution that led to the declaration of the modern republic of Egypt. The holiday is considered Egypt’s National Day.

Sarkissian sent the following message to his Egyptian counterpart.

Armenia greatly attaches to the continuous development and expansion of multifaceted cooperation with Egypt. Our countries are the best examples of different civilizational, religious and cultural dialogue.

Common challenges make the need to work together to protect common interests in regional and global developments inevitable.

I am convinced that Armenian-Egyptian relations, based on mutual interests and friendly ties, will deepen through joint efforts and will include all spheres of mutual interest.
