Armenian Human Rights Defender (HRD) Arman Tatoyan reports that on July 29 Azerbaijani armed forces opened fire while a working group of his office was meeting with residents in the Verin Shorzha area.  

"Today, when we were meeting with the residents in the Verin Shorzha mountain range, Azerbaijani armed forces fired on this very place (a position was just above our heads). At that moment, we had to temporarily stop our work, but then we resumed,” Tatoyan wrote in a Facebook post.

“We were convinced that the presence of the Azerbaijani armed forces is a violation of the right to life of people living near the villages of the Republic of Armenia,” Tatoyan wrote.

The HRD wrote that Norabak village residents told him that Azerbaijani troops opened fire yesterday and today.
