
Armenia Leads EAEU in 2021 Agricultural Growth
Armenia saw the highest agricultural sector growth among all Eurasian Economic Union (EAEU) countries during the first half of 2021, this according to data published by the EAEU’s executive body the Eurasian Economic Commission.
Armenia registered the highest growth (6.4%), followed by Kazakhstan - 3.2%, Kyrgyzstan - 1.3% and Russia - 0.2%.
Agricultural production in Belarus slightly decreased during the period.
EAEU milk production increased by 0.9% in the first half of the year.
Leading the way was Kazakhstan with 3.2% growth, followed by Armenia - 2.6%, Kyrgyzstan - 2.1%, Belarus - 1.4% and Russia - 0.3%.
Egg production in the EAEU decreased by 2% overall. Armenia saw egg production drop by 8.3%.
The EAEU is comprised of Armenia, Belarus, Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, Russia, Cuba (observer), Moldova (observer) and Uzbekistan (observer).
