
Ankara Urges Armenia to Refrain from Aggressive Rhetoric
Ankara has called on Armenia to refrain from aggressive rhetoric and actions and to develop cooperation with the countries of the region, this according to the Turkish Anadalou Agency news outlet referring to a statement released following a meeting today of the Turkish National Security Council in Ankara held in Ankara under the chairmanship of President Recep Tayyip Erdogan.
“Armenia should use the opportunity presented to establish peace and stability, which has appeared in the South Caucasus for the first time in a long time,” the Turkish Security Council statement reads.
Those attending the meeting also discussed the fight against wildfires that have swamped the southwestern regions of Turkey, related disinformation campaigns and additional measures to counter the natural disaster.
