Armenia Shoots for 9% Economic Growth
Armenian Economy Minister Vahan Kerobyan announced that the government is shooting for 9% economic growth and hopes to benefit from the possible reopening of regional transportation links.
Kerobyan, during a press briefing with journalists today following a government cabinet session, said that the country’s economy must be sufficiently competitive if trade routes reopen.
Sounding a realistic note, Kerobyan said local Armenians and those living abroad would be the most likely investors in post-war Armenia.
Kerobyan said that Deputy Economy Minister Anna Hakobyan resigned due to personal issues and was not sacked.
