Major General Kamo Vardanyan has been appointed Artsakh Minister of Defense and Commander of the Artsakh Defense Army.

Vardanyan, who fought in the 1992-1994, 2016 and 2020 Artsakh wars, had been serving as Chief of Staff of the First Deputy Commander of the Artsakh Defense Army.
