The singer Shoushan Petrosyan wants to be a member of the Armenian National Assembly. She’s running on the proportional slate of the ruling Republican Party and was required to submit a financial disclosure statement.  

It’s a candidate for “Ripley’s Believe It or Not”.

Petrosyan states that she’s employed as a soloist with the State Philharmonic Orchestra but lists not even 1 AMD as salary. I guess she’s volunteered her vocal talents for the past year. She doesn’t even list any salary from her private concerts. Do you believe her?

The singer couldn’t even fill out the disclosure properly. She dated it May 19. Hey Shoushan, we’re still in April!

As for real estate, the singer lists an apartment on Koryun Street and a studio on Kochar. She also owns a Porsche.

The singer reports assets of less than 8 million AMD, thus she is not required to specify anything.

Galoust Sahakyan, the MP who heads the Republican Party’s parliamentary faction, only reports his 3.1 million AMD salary as income. He also receives a 258,000 AMD annual pension.

Sahakyan reports no real estate holdings and says he drives around in a 2008 Nissan Maxima.
