Turkey Urges Armenia to Join "3+3" South Caucasus Platform
Turkish Defense Minister Hulusi Akar has called on Armenia to join the proposed "3+3" platform for regional cooperation in the South Caucasus.
Akar, now leading a delegation in Baku to celebrate Azerbaijani Victory Day, said that Armenia must “abandon its hostile policy and look to the future.”
Akar, according to the Azerbaijan news agency APA, said the presidents of Azerbaijan and Turkey have showed a constructive approach aimed at creating a peaceful life for future generations.
“We expect that Armenian officials, by abandoning the current policy, will use this historic opportunity, including our proposal on the 3+3 platform,” he said.
The platform, proposed by Ankara, would include Russia, Azerbaijan, Turkey, Iran, Armenia and Georgia.
