Armenia Wine and Henri Verneuil's Son Sign Memorandum on the Exclusive Production of Wines Bearing Henri Verneuil’s Name

The following is a paid Armenia Wine release.

On the initiative of the National Cinema Center of Armenia, a three-day scientific conference dedicated to the 100th anniversary of prominent French-Armenian cinema director Henri Verneuil was held in the Armenia Wine winery.

Henri Verneuil's son, Patrick Verneuil Malakian, and many other guests from the United States, France, Russia and Poland were hosted. They got acquainted with the newly opened Museum of Wine History, the 6,000-year-old rich culture of Armenian winemaking and its glorious past were introduced.

For “Armenia Wine” Winery the day was also marked by an important event. A memorandum was signed between the company and Patrick Verneuil, on the exclusive right to produce wines under the name of Henri Verneuil.

This right may be transferred to the company with the consent of the heir, or an authorized body. Receiving such an honor underscores the unwavering commitment and aspiration of “Armenia Wine” Winery to national values and perfection.

Vahagn Mkrtchyan, Co-owner, General Director, Chairman of the Board of Trustees of the Wine History Museum of Armenia, greeted the guests during the event, noting that it is a great honor for the company to assume the exclusive right to release wines under the name of the famous film director. He emphasized that, as befits a great Armenian, "Armenia Wine" winery will present Armenia and the Armenian to the world with all responsibility and honor.

The heir of the world-famous film director, in his turn, introduced his gratitude, emphasizing that cinematography cannot overcome 6000-year-old winemaking, but they have one thing in common: in both cases there is a need for greater love and care.
