Armenian Emergency Minister and Georgian Chargé d'Affaires Discuss Greater Cooperation
Armenian Minister of Emergency Situations Andranik Piloyan today, in Yerevan, met with Chargé d'Affaires of the Georgian Embassy in Armenia Irakli Kvanchakhadze.
The two, according to a statement released by Piloyan’s office, stressed the importance of close cooperation between the two countries’ emergency services based on the 1997 Agreement on Cooperation in Preventing Natural Disasters and Eliminating Consequences.
Kvanchakhadze thanked Piloyan for the assistance Armenia provided in extinguishing forest fires in Georgia’s Kharagauli National Reserve in Borjomi, Georgia in 2017.
Piloyan said he hoped the project of expanding cooperation between the Georgian and Armenian internal affairs ministries will be implemented in 2022-2023.
