CSTO Secretary General Stanislav Zas, according to TASS, today said that tensions remain along the Karabakh line of contact despite the November 9, 2020 trilateral ceasefire agreement.

Zas, at the ninth session of the CIS Secretaries of Security Council in Moscow, said that the military threat level facing CSTO member states is on the rise.

Yesterday, CSTO Spokesman Vladimir Zainetdinov said that the CSTO Secretariat had not received an official application from Armenia regarding the situation on the Armenian-Azerbaijani border.

Armenia joined the Russian-led military alliance in 1994. Azerbaijan joined the same year but withdrew in 1997.
