Armenian PM Nikol Pashinyan and Azerbaijani President Ilham Aliyev are scheduled to meet on December 15 in Brussels.

The meeting was arranged by European Council President Charles Michel and will take place within the framework of the EU Eastern Partnership Summit.

The European Council, in a November 19 statement, writes, “The leaders agreed to hold a meeting in Brussels to discuss the regional situation and ways to overcome tensions."

The statement says that Pashinyan and Aliyev have agreed to establish direct contact at the level of defense ministers to avoid incidents along their countries’ border.
