South Caucasus "3+3" Cooperation Platform Holds First Meeting

The first meeting of the Cooperation Regional “3+3” Platform” was held in Moscow under the co-chairmanship of Deputy Foreign Ministers of Russia, Azerbaijan, Armenia and Turkey, as well as the General Director of the Iranian Foreign Ministry.

The Russian Foreign Ministry, in a statement, said that representatives from Georgia were also invited but did not attend the meeting.

"During the meeting, the prospects for the development of multifaceted regional cooperation were discussed. An agreement was reached to focus the platform on practical issues of interest to all participants. These include confidence-building measures, trade, economic, transport, humanitarian and cultural cooperation, and responses to common challenges and threats," the Russian Foreign Ministry said in a statement.
