The Armenian Defense Ministry today reported that a third Armenian serviceman was killed in yesterday’s border clash with Azerbaijani troops along the eastern Armenian-Azerbaijani border.

“The body of Vahan Babayan (born in 2003), a serviceman of the RA Armed Forces, was found dead in an intensive skirmish zone after a provocation by Azerbaijani units in the eastern direction of the Armenian-Azerbaijani border. with a gunshot wound,” the ministry stated today.

Yesterday, the ministry stated that two Armenian soldiers, Artur Mkhitaryan and Rudik Gharibyan, were killed and two others wounded in the fighting after Azerbaijani troops shelled and attacked Armenian military positions in Armenia’s Gegharkunik province with combat drones.

The ministry says that the two wounded Armenian soldiers are in stable condition.

Late yesterday, the ministry reported the situation on the Armenian-Azerbaijani border is now “relatively stable.”
