Ukraine's Military General Staff Says Moscow Planning to Send Russian Troops from Armenia

The General Staff of Ukraine’s Armed Forces, in a Facebook post yesterday, claimed that Russia is planning to dispatch troops from its military base in Gyumri to Ukraine to bolster its forces there.

“Continuing attempts to restore the combat capability of individual units involved in hostilities, the military leadership of the Russian Federation plans to transfer to Ukraine some units from the 102-nd Russian military base in Armenia,” writes the Ukrainian General Staff.

Two days ago British military intelligence announced that Russia was going to transfer troops from Armenia to Ukraine, but the British did not specify where in Armenia the Russian troops would be pulled from.

On March 15, Artsakh’s Foreign Ministry refuted a March 13 Ukrainian General Staff Facebook post that Russian peacekeepers from Nagorno Karabakh have been sent to Ukraine.
