Karabakh: Russian Defense Ministry Calls on Azerbaijan to Withdraw Troops
The Russian Defense Ministry, in a statement issued today, says that Azerbaijani Armed Forces have violated the November 9, 2020 ceasefire agreement and has called on Azerbaijan to withdraw its troops from territories recently occupied in the Askeran region of Karabakh.
Tass, in a March 26 article, cites the Russian Defense Ministry as saying:
“Azerbaijan’s Armed Forces have entered the zone of responsibility of the Russian peacekeeping mission in Nagorno-Karabakh and launched four strikes on the Nagorno-Karabakh armed formations, using a Bayraktar TB2 drone, near the village of Parukh.”
The office of the Russian peacekeeping contingent stationed in Artsakh today also called on Azerbaijan to withdraw its troops from these areas.
