The Armenian government will spend 54 million drams (US$113,320) to purchase three Toyota RAV “escort” vehicles for National Assembly Speaker Alen Simonyan.

The government says the three vehicles now used to accompany Simonyan are not up to snuff and must be replaced.

Last November, the government spent 90 million AMD ($187K) to buy a BMW 750 for Simonyan’s official use.
