Yerevan: Hunger Strikers Demand Pashinyan’s Resignation
Artur Vanetsyan, head of the With Honor parliamentary faction, entered the third day of a hunger strike in Yerevan’s Liberty Square today designed to rally forces opposed to PM Nikol Pashinyan and force him to resign.
Vanetsyan says that Pashinyan intends to recognize the territorial integrity of Azerbaijan, thus handing over Artsakh to Baku’s control.
A handful of supporters have joined the hunger strike.
Yesterday, Never Kirakosyan and Artur Avagyan, who fought in the 2020 Artsakh war, launched their own hunger strike, telling Hetq that they want young people to understand the gravity of the situation regarding Artsakh and Armenians living there.
Vanetsyan told reporters that the opposition has a plan of action that will include decentralized daily protests.
