Yerevan to Get 250 Electric Buses to Stem Air Pollution
Armenia will purchase 250 new electric buses in an attempt to halt the growing air pollution problem in Yerevan.
Tigran Avinyan, Chairman of the Board of the State Interest Fund of Armenia, in a Facebook post, said that Yerevan also plans to build a metro station near the Petak shopping center in Yerevan. Avinyan provided no details of the project.
Yesterday, within the framework of the EBRD 2022 Annual Meeting, Avinyan met with Armenian Minister of Finance Tigran Khachatryan, EBRD Eurasia Regional Director for Infrastructure Programs Ekaterina Miroshnik, and ERBD Regional Director for the Caucasus Catarina Hansen to discuss financing possibilities.
