Azerbaijani Foreign Minister Jeyhun Bayramov, at a meeting of the CIS Council of Ministers today in Dushanbe, announced that Baku is ready to normalize relations with Armenia, including the signing of a peace agreement and the start of the process of delimitation of borders.

Bayramov, according to a statement issued by the Azerbaijani Foreign Ministry, said steps have been taken to start the process of negotiations on a peace agreement, including determining the chairmen and the format of the national commissions on delimitation of borders between the two countries.

He said that the Karabakh conflict is a matter of the past and that Baku’s main task task is to rejuvenate the territories captured in the 2020 war and to ensure long-term regional peace and stability by restoring economic and communication relations.
