Artsakh Presidential Spokesperson: "Any status within Azerbaijan is unacceptable"

Artsakh Presidential Spokesperson Lusineh Avanesyan reiterated her government’s position that any status within Azerbaijan is unacceptable.

Avanesyan told Artsakh Press today that the full recognition of the right of the Armenians of Artsakh to self-determination is not subject to reservation or concession.

Her comments come against the backdrop of “peace negotiations” between Yerevan and Baku.

Avanesyan said the Artsakh government intends to pursue the international recognition of Artsakh’s independence.

She added that the Artsakh government aims to restore its territorial integrity.

Avanesyan didn’t specify how the government plans to achieve this and what borders are at issue – the border of the former NKAR (Nagorno Karabakh Autonomous Region) or the pre-2020 Karabakh war borders.

Isn't it hilarious how the Armenian separatists refuse to accept reality even when it is right in their faces. They just cannot seem to grasp the fact that they lost the war and now have no say in the future of Karabakh. All the hopeless revanchist posturing is just boring and will hurt their people if they don't get over it as if they cannot get used to the idea of becoming Azerbaijan citizens they will have to leave with the Russians in a couple of years. They can fight of course but that did not work out so well for them last time and they are in a far worse military position now. Still it is most amusing to watch their whining. Azerbaijan must get a huge laugh out of this!
