Pashinyan Mocks Anti-Government Protests as Annoying Traffic Jams
Armenian PM Nikol Pashinyan has mocked daily anti-government street protests in Yerevan as little more than annoying traffic jams.
Pashinyan, at today’s parliamentary session, said the street protests have lost any political dimension and are now merely an exercise in futility designed to create dissension within society.
The Armenian PM said that the opposition, after having failed to present a specific political agenda to the public, has now embarked on a crusade to exact revenge on that very same public that has not joined the protests.
“The logic they are using is if you don’t join us, you can remain stuck in traffic jams,” Pashinyan said, adding that the opposition is exacting revenge for losing the June 2021 snap parliamentary election.
