Yerevan police arrested Bagrat Yesayan, editor of the ARF-funded Yerkir Media news outlet, at his office today.

Vahe Yeprikyan, Yesayan’s lawyer, said his client is charged with “causing property damage/the use of firearms” and “hindering the work of a journalist” during the November 10, 2020 demonstrations in Yerevan following the Karabakh war ceasefire agreement.

Yeprikyan said his client is also charged with "verbally abusing" Pashinyan on that day and accused the government of launching a witch hunt against Yesayan for his anti-government views.
