Artsakh Parliament Speaker in Paris
Artsakh National Assembly Speaker Artur Tovmasyan today, in Paris, met with Artsakh Permanent Representative to France Hovhannes Gevorgyan.
The two, according to a statement released by Tovmasyan’s office, discussed the need to have France continue its assistance to Artsakh and stressed the importance of the December 2020 French Assembly resolution urging the Macron government to recognize the independence of Artsakh.
The French government opposed the resolution, arguing that it would impede France’s role as a Minsk Group Co-Chair.
Tovmasyan is scheduled to meet with local Armenian community and French political representatives.
