Armenian PM Nikol Pashinyan and Emir of the State of Qatar, Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad Al Thani met today in Doha and discussed strengthening ties between the two countries.

The two, according to a statement released by Pashinyan’s office, noted the need for cooperation in the spheres of economy, information technologies, science, air communication, tourism and culture.

Al Thani accepted Pashinyan’s invitation to visit Armenia.

Pashinyan’s office reports the mayors of Yerevan and Doha signed an agreement declaring the two cities “sister cities”.

The health ministers of the two countries signed a healthcare cooperation agreement.
