Moscow Continues to Assist Unblocking of South Caucasus Transport Links, Says Russian Foreign Ministry Spokesperson

Russian Foreign Ministry Spokesperson Maria Zakharova today said that Moscow will continue to support the efforts of Azerbaijan and Armenia to unblock economic and transport ties in the South Caucasus.

"We welcome the intensification of the activities of the trilateral working group, co-chaired by the vice-premiers of the three countries to unblock economic and transport ties in the South Caucasus," she said at a press briefing according to TASS.

Zakharova noted that at a June 3 meeting of this group, the parties came closer on a number of issues, and on June 16-17 discussions continued on the sidelines of the St. Petersburg International Economic Forum (SPIEF).
