Artsakh: Police Continue Monitoring Vehicles in Stepanakert
Police in the Artsakh capital Stepanakert are continuing to check passenger cars and trucks traveling through the city.
The beefed-up spot checks were started on May 17.
The Artsakh Ministry of Internal Affairs, in a statement released today, does not specify why police launched the vehicle checks in the first place. The ministry says it will publish its findings soon.
We can only assume that they are looking for contraband, including arms and ammunition, drunk drivers, vehicles with false license plates, and other traffic infringements.
