
Tailing Dam Wastes Leak Into Armenia's Debed River
Armenian Ministry of Environment inspectors have verified reports that wastes from a tailings dam owned by the Akhtala Mining and Processing Company have flown into the local Debed River.
Waste samples have been taken for examination.
The Debed River originates in Armenia’s Lori province and ends in Georgia where it enters a tributary of the Kura.
