On September 19, Armenian Foreign Minister Ararat Mirzoyan met with his Belgian counterpart Hadja Lahbib on the sidelines of the 77th session of the UN General Assembly in New York.

Mirzoyan, according to a statement released by his office, told Lahbib about the consequences of last week's Azerbaijani attacks against Armenia.

Both sides emphasized the importance of maintaining the ceasefire regime and settling issues through peaceful negotiations.  

The two also discussed aspects of deepening the Armenian-Belgian political dialogue, cooperation on multilateral platforms, development of trade, economic and educational-cultural ties.
