One Armenian Injured in Last Night's Azerbaijani Gunfire
The Armenian Defense Ministry has confirmed social media posts that Azerbaijani troops violated the ceasefire last night by firing in the direction of the Nerkin Hand, a village in Armenia's Syunik province.
Ministry spokesman Aram Torosyan has neither denied nor confirmed any Armenian injuries.
Nerkin Hand Mayor Khoren Baghdasaryan told Hetq that Azerbaijani troops fired towards the village until four in the morning and that residents remain on alert.
Baghdasaryan confirmed that a person in the neighboring village of Srashen was injured. Hetq was able to confirm, through a third source, that the injured party was Jorik Martirosyan of the Yerkrapah volunteer unit.
