Armenian National Assembly Cafeteria to Get $77,000 Facelift
The Armenian government today approved several funding programs including 31 million drams ($77,000) to renovate the National Assembly’s cafeteria.
The money will be spent to install a modern ventilation system, replace furniture, tableware and outdated cooking equipment and refrigerators.
Fifteen million drams will be spent to conduct forensic exams on the bodies of those killed during September’s Azerbaijani attacks.
Fifteen million drams will go to compensate the medical costs of military servicemen injured in the fighting.
3.6 billion drams ($8.9 m) will be allocated to launch a new police patrol service in the provinces of Aragatzotn, Gegharkunik, Kotayk and Tavush.
In July, the government allocated 3.1 billion drams ($7.5m) to purchase new patrol cars for these four provinces. The cars were purchased from Toyota Yerevan SP company without a tender.
Toyota Yerevan is 60% owned by Samvel Mayrapetyan (co-owner of H2 TV), 30% by Sedrak Kocharyan (son of former Armenian president Robert Kocharyan) and 10% by company director Vahe Gzraryan.
