Armenia's UNESCO Representative Says Mission to Karabakh is Needed
Christian Ter-Stepanian, Armenia’s Permanent Representative to the United Nations Educational, Scientific and Cultural Organization (UNESCO), yesterday expressed his regrets that Azerbaijan continues to hinder the sending of a UESCO mission to Nagorno Karabakh and adjacent areas to ensure that Azerbaijan does not destroy Armenian cultural monuments in the area.
Ter-Sepanian, during a speech yesterday at the UNESCO executive board plenary session, expressed hope that UNESCO will continue to take steps to send such a mission to the area.
