Azerbaijan hackers last night targeted the web.am server, disrupting some two hundred websites including the Artsakh Ministry of Finance, the Gyumri Municipality, and the South Caucasus Railway.

IT security specialist Artur Papyan relayed the news to Hetq, saying the Azerbaijan hacker group Az-Security team intentionally targeted the server rather than individual websites.

“Having gained access to the server, the attack spread across all websites," Papyan said, adding he believes Artsakh websites were the main target. The group has targeted Armenian websites since 2012.
