Armenian Foreign Minister Ararat Mirzoyan will meet with top Vatican officials and representatives of the Sovereign Military Order of Malta during his two-day official visit to the Vatican that starts tomorrow.

The Sovereign Military Order of Malta (SMOM) is a Catholic lay religious order, traditionally of a military, chivalric nature, that possesses no territory but is often considered a sovereign entity of international law since it maintains diplomatic relations with many countries.

Mirzoyan, according to his office, will attend a "Peace to Armenia" liturgy at the Basilica di Santa Maria Maggiore in Rome.
