Armenia’s Artur Davtyan won first place in the vault competition at the 2022 World Artistic Gymnastics Championships in Liverpool.

The 30-year-old Armenian amassed a score of 15.050, beating Carlos Yulo from the Philippines and Igor Radivilov from Ukraine who came in second and third respectively.

This is Davtyan’s first world championship. He’s the first gymnast in the history of independent Armenia to win the title of world champion.

Davtyan was the oldest athlete in the vault competition.
