Moscow Urges Armenia, Azerbaijani to Avoid Border Escalation
TASS reports that Russian presidential spokesman Dmitry Peskov today urged Armenia and Azerbaijan to refrain from steps escalating tension on the line of contact.
“The statement adopted at the end of the trilateral meeting in Sochi emphasized the intention of the parties, Azerbaijan and Armenia, to resolve their differences exclusively by politico-diplomatic, peaceful means. Therefore, we continue to call on both sides to refrain from dangerous actions and steps that could lead to escalating tension on the line of contact," Peskov told reporters after Yerevan and Baku accused one another of artillery fire along the border earlier today.
