A group of Azerbaijanis, claiming to be environment activists, continue to block the Goris-Stepanakert highway and are planning to stay there for the night according to Azerbaijani media reports.

Azerbaijani public broadcaster ITV released a video of the incident.

The group wants an audience with Russian peacekeeping mission commander Major General Andrey Volkov to request access to two gold mines where they claim illegal mining is taking place.

Volkov has ignored their demand and has dispatched personnel and equipment to the scene.
