France Calls on Azerbaijan to Reopen Lachin Corridor
The French Foreign Affairs Ministry issued the following statement today, calling for the reopening of the roadway linking Nagorno Karabakh with Armenia.
France deplores the obstacles placed for more than 24 hours on traffic on the access corridor linking Armenia and Nagorno-Karabakh, which has serious humanitarian consequences for the local population. It calls for the unconditional restoration of access and supplies to Nagorno-Karabakh, while respecting the rights of the population residing there. It notes that in accordance with the trilateral declaration of November 9, 2020, the Republic of Azerbaijan is committed to ensuring the safe movement of people, vehicles and goods along the Lachin corridor, in both directions.
