The foreign ministers of Iran and Turkey met in Ankara today and discussed regional developments, including the South Caucasus, this according to the Islamic Republic News Agency.

“Fortunately, the relations between the two countries are on the right track, he said, adding that Iran can today introduce Turkey as one of the neighboring states that enjoys the best interactions with the Islamic Republic of Iran,” the agency quotes Iranian FM Hossein Amir-Amirabdollahian as saying at the meeting with Mevlüt Çavuşoğlu.

Amirabdollahian is also scheduled to meet with Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan.
