French President Emmanuel Macron, during a January 23 meeting at the Elysée Palace with Coordinating Council of Armenian Organizations of France (CCAF) Co-chairs Ara Toranian and Murad Papazian, discussed the impact of the Lachin Corridor closure on Artsakh Armenians and the growing threats to the territorial integrity of Armenia by Azerbaijan.

The CCAF reports that Toranian and Papazian welcomed Macron's attention to the matter and expressed their hope that France will gradually increase steps to protect the people of Artsakh.
