Moscow Continues "Very Complex" Talks with Yerevan, Baku to Reopen Lachin Corridor

Kremlin spokesman Dmitry Peskov told reporters today that Russia continues to dialog with Armenia and Azerbaijan to facilitate the reopening of the Lachin Corridor, the only road linking Nagorno Karabakh and Armenia.

"Russia, as one of the parties to the trilateral agreements and documents that were signed two years earlier, continues to fulfill its obligations and continues very, very painstaking and complex work with both Armenia and Azerbaijan," Peskov told reporters according to TASS.

According to the 2020 Karabakh war ceasefire agreement, the Lachin Corridor (5 km wide), which will provide a connection between Nagorno-Karabakh and Armenia while not passing through the territory of Shusha, shall remain under the control of the Russian Federation peacemaking forces.
