Putin, Aliyev Discuss South Caucasus, Economic Cooperation
Russian President Vladimir Putin and Azerbaijani President Ilham Aliyev yesterday, by telephone, discussed the situation in the South Caucasus, as well as the trade and economic cooperation between their two countries.
"The current situation in the South Caucasus region was discussed. The importance of consistent steps to achieve stability and security on the Armenian-Azerbaijani border was noted," the Kremlin said in a statement.
A commitment to the unconditional implementation of the entire range of relevant agreements between Russia, Azerbaijan and Armenia at the highest level was reaffirmed, according to the statement.
The last time Putin and Aliyev had a telephone conversation was in December 2022.At that time, the issue of the implementation of agreements between Moscow, Baku and Yerevan was also on the agenda.
