EU Official Says Armenian Foreign Minister’s Turkey Visit is “Historic”
Toivo Klaar, the EU’s Special Representative for the South Caucasus and the crisis in Georgia has welcomed Armenian Foreign Minister Ararat Mirzoyan’s visit to Turkey, describing it as “historic”.

According to Mirzoyan’s office, he and his delegation touched down in Ankara today and was greeted Serdar Kılıç, who represents Turkey in normalization talks with Armenia.
Mirzoyan and Turkish Foreign Minister Mevlüt Çavuşoğlu then met for a private conversation, followed by an extended meeting.
Mirzoyan is scheduled to meet with Armenian earthquake rescue workers in the Turkish city of Adıyaman .
This is the second visit of Mirzoyan to Turkey as Armenian Foreign Minister. In March 2022, he participated in the Antalya Diplomatic Forum in Antalya.
